A sizeable gap exists in the awareness of current guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of COPD and in their usage in guiding clinical decisions. This educational program is designed to meet the needs of primary care providers to improve performance in effectively screening, diagnosing and managing patients with COPD with the goal to slow the progressive loss of lung function and improve the patient's overall quality of life.

Stage A - Assess: Learning from current practice performance assessment

  • CME credits (20 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM or 20 AAFP PI Credits)

  • This activity is approved through the American Board of Internal Medicine(ABIM) Approval Quality Improvement (AQI) Pathway and is eligible for 20 points towards the Self-Evaluation of Practice Performance requirement of Maintenance of Certification (MOC).
